We want to platform new and established voices
Feminartsy was founded in 2014 with the vision of celebrating and publishing feminist writing in Australia. Things have changed a lot since then, and we want our relaunch to provide opportunities for Australian writers to publish medium length fiction and creative non-fiction, be paid for their work, and to encourage thoughtful and unique perspectives on our world, culture, and feminism.
Each month, we will publish 1-2 new works, starting with our print mail club (details coming soon!), and then republishing these pieces on this website.
All writers will be paid a $100 fee for their work. Guidelines are below - happy writing!
Guidelines
Submissions are open for non-fiction only until 30 April 2026
What we're looking for:

Up to 2,000 words

Personal essay/memoir/reportage

No interviews, profiles or reviews
We want to read and publish work that explores issues affecting our society, interprets personal experience and connects to wider issues, and that takes a feminist - thoughtful, empathetic, interrogative - lens.
To submit, email your piece to Zoya at editor[.]feminartsy[@]gmail[.]com. Include your work as a word attachment, and share some info about yourself in your cover email.
